Babiroussa Bab`i*rous"sa, Babirussa Bab`i*rus"sa, n. [F. babiroussa, fr. Malay b[=a]b[=i] hog + r[=u]sa deer.] (Zo["o]l.) A large hoglike quadruped (Sus, or Porcus, babirussa) of the East Indies, sometimes domesticated; the Indian hog. Its upper canine teeth or tusks are large and recurved.

It is seen as a shade tree in America.
