Aurantiaceous Au*ran`ti*a"ceous, a.
Pertaining to, or resembling, the Aurantiace[ae], an order of
plants (formerly considered natural), of which the orange is
the type.

in F. orange is due to confusion with or gold, L. aurum,
because the orange resembles gold in color.]
