Oblige Oblige O*blige", v. t. [imp. & p. p. Obliged; p. pr. & vb.
n. Obliging.] [OF. obligier, F. obliger, L. obligare; ob
(see Ob-) + ligare to bind. See Ligament, and cf.
Obligate.]
1. To attach, as by a bond. [Obs.]
