Melaleuca cajuputi Cajuput Caj"u*put, n. [Of Malayan origin; k[=a]yu tree +
p[=u]tih white.] (Med.)
A highly stimulating volatile inflammable oil, distilled from
the leaves of an East Indian tree (Melaleuca cajuputi,
etc.) It is greenish in color and has a camphoraceous odor
and pungent taste.
Semnopitchecus melalophus Simpai Sim"pai, n.[Malay simpei.] (Zo["o]l.)
A long-tailed monkey (Semnopitchecus melalophus) native of
Sumatra. It has a crest of black hair. The forehead and
cheeks are fawn color, the upper parts tawny and red, the
under parts white. Called also black-crested monkey, and
sinp[ae].
