Euryale Eu*ry"a*le, n. [NL., fr. Euryale, one of the Gorgons.] 1. (Bot.) A genus of water lilies, growing in India and China. The only species (E. ferox) is very prickly on the peduncles and calyx. The rootstocks and seeds are used as food. 2. (Zo["o]l) A genus of ophiurans with much-branched arms.
