Engrossing Engross En*gross", v. t. [imp. & p. p. Engrossed; p. pr. &
vb. n. Engrossing.] [F., fr. pref. en- (L. in) + gros
gross, grosse, n., an engrossed document: cf. OF. engrossir,
engroissier, to make thick, large, or gross. See Gross.]
