Paludina Pal`u*di"na, n.; pl. L. Paludin[ae], E. Paludinas. [NL., fr. L. palus, -udis, a marsh, pool.] (Zo["o]l.) Any one of numerous species of freshwater pectinibranchiate mollusks, belonging to Paludina, Melantho, and allied genera.
