small sea snails,
marine gastropod molluscs in the
family Cerithiopsidae. It was
described by
Bartsch in 1911...
- in his letters. A
daughter Alcima is
mentioned much
later by
Gregory of Tours, and
Theodor Mommsen speculated that
Alcima may be
another name for one...
- region. They had
three or four children: Apollinaris, Severiana,
Roscia and
Alcima (the latter,
mentioned only in
Gregory of
Tours and not in Sidonius' letters...
